From our Test Kitchen...
What is poké?
Poké (pronounced POKE-AY, not POKE-EE) originates from Hawaii and is essentially chunks of fish marinated in soy and sesame. Poké comes from the verb for “to section, slice, or cut” in Hawaiian language. When it comes to fish poké, tuna is commonly used.
What it is not...
It is not sashimi, where the fish is sliced long and thin. It is not tartare, where the fish is diced and held together by a sauce.
Why serve poké?
GoGo is always inventing new dishes for our customers (some of you regulars are familiar with our "secret" menu) and our Poké Bowl is a way to add another option to a healthy meal with the GoGo freshness you are accustomed to.
